The Campus Access Project for Sul Ross State University (SRSU) aimed to improve the overall quality and connectivity of outdoor spaces on the University’s 93-acre main campus. Set within the mountains of Alpine, Texas, SRSU is the primary institution of higher education for a 19-county area in West Texas. The project focused on curating a framework which will unified the campus, focusing on providing abundant outdoor gathering spaces, barrier-free spaces, and a uniform design for outdoor improvements Steel and natural stone veneer sourced from a local quarry are used on architectural elements, providing wayfinding and shade for new exterior amenities.
